Though, the diagnosis of low sexual desire can be made by answering some questions that your doctor will ask you. However, he might still request that you do some investigations which include the following: Thyroid function test, blood glucose check, estrogen level, testosterone test and fasting lipid profile.

 

TREATMENT

Recommended treatment of loss of sexual desire among women include counselling, sex education and medication. Some of these medications are not to be taken by women in their menopausal age. Therefore, talk to your doctor before use.

Some of the lifestyle modifications that can help restore one’s sexual desire are- ditching bad habit like smoking, alcohol consumption, stress and anxiety. It is also recommended that couple should learn how to spice their sex life by going on a date, change of sex position and spending more time on foreplay.
